So who is ready for spring?

I can't tell you how ready for spring and warmer weather. I am so ready that I am taking the boys down to N. Myrtle Beach this weekend. Nana and Papa are nice enough to let us get away for the weekend. Billy is leaving tomorrow for 3 weeks for work so I figure it will be a good change of pace for us. I plan to let Blake run around the beach and just hang out someone different. Here is the best part - Kelly and Emma are coming for the weekend as well. We plan to get some girl time in after the babies all go to bed. It should be fun filled and I am sure there will be a story or two to tell afterwards. I am need of some Gina - I miss my girl Kelly and wished we lived closer. We might even sit out on the balcony and have a wine cooler....Whoooo - How life has changed.

Two sleepy babies

One day Billy ran out to pick us some dinner and came back to find Grayson passed out on me and Blake passed out on the other side of the couch. Blake had eaten some Mac & Cheese as you can tell. It was one of those days that no one felt like cooking (ok - so I didn't feel like cooking) and we had been busy all day. So while I was looking down at Grayson - I glanced back at Blake and he had passed out himself. So I waited patiently till Billy got home to help me gather them up and put them to bed. I should remind you that this was at 7 or 730 pm. We thought we had an easy night except when Blake came bee-bopping down the steps at 830pm. But after 15 minutes of sitting next to his dad - he was a goner again.

Hear me roar!!!

Look at me riding my new Lion toy. One day you will see me walking behind it. Oh yeah - if you look closely - Mom has me dressed in a Lion shirt and overalls. Only my mom would find that cute, huh?

Ready, Set, Go....Let me see!

This is Blake as he prepares him to launch himself into the ball pit. On Blake would start his launch from the other side of the room but as I would take a picture - he would stop and say "Let me see" then he would resume his run to the ball pit. He is a dare devil in training with no fear. He loves to jump, dive, or launch himself off of anything he can find. He made the cutest faces and gestures while he would run towards the ball pit. I have a funny feeling that he will take after his mom and dad when it comes to thrill seeking adventures.

I cook my balls!

While playing downstairs last week, I asked Blake to help pick up all the balls that he had gotten out of his ball pit. Blake was doing well helping clean up until he became distracted by his kitchen / grill master nearby. He then decided that he would grill for a minute before finishing the clean up process. Blake was so proud of himself as he exclaimed "Mom, I cook my balls".

Thankful moments

I have found that there are times in our lives when you realize just how lucky you are. It might be watching a show, talking to others, taking a trip, etc that I am able to reflect and appreciate all the great things in life.

I am lucky to have a great husband who is a great father as well.
I am extremely blessed to have Blake and Grayson who really did change my life and make me want to be the best mom that I can be.
Billy and I have terrific parents and our boys will grow up knowing that they have 6 grandparents and a big extended family who love them for who they are and who they will become.
I have the best friends in the whole world and can't believe that our husbands all enjoy each others company. The trip really was a hit and I am up for our RV trip to Yellowstone. The best thing is that we bring our own fun no matter where we go or what we do.

My list could go on but I wanted to hit the high points. Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in our busy lives but Billy, Blake, Grayson, and I are lucky to have great families, great friends, great memories, and many more moments to look forward to.

More Jamaica moments

Best Friends (I would photoshop Kelly in if I could) Although - she will have to photoshop us when she in St. Lucia later this year for her sister's wedding.

I pushed Ashley into the "slightly" cold water before we went down the slide. This is us making our own fun and fun it was.

I don't like baby food!

Grayson has surprised us all and won't barely touch baby food or cereal. We all thought that he would love to eat food but boy were we wrong. He liked it for the first few days but ever since then I have struggled to get him to eat. I have done airplanes, cars, and trains and it never works. I have tried organic, different brands, mixing it with juice, mixing the cereal with baby food - you name it, I think I have tried it. Even the dr's have said that some babies are just this way especially when they have an older sibling. So while I try every day hoping that he takes a few bites, I have taken to crushing, mashing, etc our food and placing it into food nets so he can eat something. Grayson seems to love the nets and the taste of real food more than baby food. He tried his first piece of steak tonight and loved it. He kept pushing Billy away and shooting dirty looks if he thought Billy was going to take it from him. I will be so glad when he can like a big boy like he thinks he already is....growing up too fast.

"I cooked my balls"

I was saying earlier today that I haven't blogged this week very much because I didn't have any funny stories but that changed shortly after I said those very words. Grayson, Blake, and I went downstairs to play for a little while and I just happen to take the camera downstairs because I am going to try and sell our mini fidge so I wanted to take a few pictures for when I post it.

Blake and I put together a new toy that Grayson was given at Christmas. Blake amazed me with how smart he was and how he knew how to put it together.... So after several dives into his ball pit...it was time to clean up all the balls. So the song began - clean up, clean up, clean up all the balls......

This is where it gets good....Blake becomes distracted by his kitchen and picks up his play phone. He begins having a conversation about Mama, Daddy, cleaning up, what a mess everything was, and how he had to cook. (I don't know who he ever hears saying those very things) Blake picks up a ball and places it in a pan and flips it like a pancake. Then he picks up another ball and has both balls in the pan to cook when he states "I cooked my balls". I found it very entertaining to say the least. I used to be pretty shy when it came to a lot of things but after having 2 boys - I have a new sense of humor.

Matchy, Match

I love matching the boys so they look alike. As Grayson gets older - I am able to get more and more clothes that match. I don't make them match everyday but I do enjoy it when I do match them. I wanted to share a photo of them matching from time to time.

Jamaica, baby

Jamaica survived a YaYa trip(we missed Kelly and Mike)....we had a great time and I was thankful for 3 nights of blissful sleep. I felt so rested when we arrived back home on Monday....I couldn't wait to see the boys but it wasn't the homecoming that I expected. Both boys were tired and not willing to go to bed since we just got home. Thankfully - Tuesday proved to be much better.

We had a great time overall on our vacation. There were a few misleading items that we weren't prepared for but I wouldn't pass on an opportunity to spend time with my husband and our friends. Billy and I had our first "couples" massage and it was simply amazing. It was 50 minutes of complete bliss.... The weather was not exactly what we had hoped for but we made our own fun...Imagine that? We went down a slide and played water volleyball (us girls were killing the boys until we started keeping score).

Wheels up on Friday

Billy and I are getting away for the weekend starting on Friday. It isn't just any get away but we are going to a Sandals resort in Jamaica for 4 days with 3 other couples. We are very excited and I am trying not to be nervous leaving the boys behind. I never left Blake for almost 2 years because I worried too much. But then I gave in because this trip sounded too good to pass up.

Blake and Grayson will be spoiled by my mom and dad and then Billy's dad is coming up to help out as well. I hope that the grandparents are able to get some sleep at night because Grayson wakes up a few times still and I am not sure how happy he will be when his Mama isn't there as always.

I am really looking forward to the trip and I am trying not to think about Grayson giving his grandparents a hard time. Grayson is "slightly" attached to me and screams practically at anyone other then me. Looking back - Blake would have been fine without me so I hope I can say the same thing is true for "G" once we get back.

Sunshine, Sleep, and Good Friends - who could ask for anything better.....
